This guide will show you how to root the Sony Xperia E1.

Disclaimer: FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way. Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely.

What is needed to root the Sony Xperia E1?

This Sony device can actually be rooted using the device itself. This means that you only need the Sony Xperia E1 that you wish to root in your hand, unlike other Android phones this phone can be rooted without needing a PC.

Step 1 – Enable the installation of unknown sources

Rooting the Sony Xperia E1 requires the use of the Framaroot rooting software. This is software that you must download and run on the phone itself. Before you can do this however you need to enable the installation of unknown sources.

On the phone itself go to Settings > Security and tap the Unknown Sources option (make sure it is checked).

Step 2 – Download Framaroot

Now that you have enabled the installation of unknown sources it is time to root the phone by downloading Framaroot

Open the phone browser.

Save the APK file to your phone.

Step 3 – Root the phone

Now that you have downloaded Framaroot on to the phone please run it.

On the screen that appears tap the first listed exploit.

Wait for the rooting process to complete.

Once this has been done you should see the SuperSU icon which means you should have successfully have root access on the Sony Xperia E1.

where is the updated guide with a new rooting method for this device for us, to try

        1. FlexiSPYBlog Avatar

          Hello Sami.

The previous guide steps used Towelroot to root the phone. We did some research and it seems Framaroot can also root this device and the device has been updated to show steps for using Framaroot accordingly.

Unfortunately, if this too fails to work it may be that the device just cannot be rooted in its current state.

          Thanks for contacting us.

          P.S.

If you don’t see the updated guide, try Ctrl-F5

sir i cant root my experia E1, it says failed to root

    1. FlexiSPYBlog Avatar

      Hello Ralph.

It may be that the phone OS has been upgraded so the root exploit no longer works. If that is the case then it may be that the device cannot be rooted any longer at this time.

      Thanks for contacting us.

      Hello Arsalan.

We will investigate an alternate root method for this guide and we will update our guide if we manage to find another alternative method of rooting the Sony Xperia E1. We have now found a new method to root this device and we will update our current guide shortly with the new steps.

      Thanks for contacting us.

Towelroot will only work with the following Firmware versions: D2005 20.1.A.0.47; D2105 20.1.B.2.15; D2114 20.1.B.0.65
If they are higher, you need to flash PhilZ recovery and use it to root the phone.

I successfully rooted Sony Experia E1 by following the guide here:
        http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58056688&postcount=1307

Basically it involves flashing the kernel to an older version, rooting with towelroot, and flashing the new kernel back.

Can i hide towel root and superq after i root the phone?

  7. FlexiSPYBlog Avatar

You can try using another listed exploit but if none of them work you can try using our rooting service here – http://www.flexispy.com/en/flexispy-remote-installation-service-standalone.htm

The Bootloader has to be unlocked before rooting can happen, so it looks like you must have unlocked the bootloader before 😀
