In this latest hack — brought to light in June 2024 — an anonymous attacker infiltrated mSpy’s support ticketing system and published 150 GB of the database containing user data, the contents of 5 million tickets, and their attachments. This is a significant breach of security!

The repeated breaches should not surprise those familiar with the saga of lower-end-of-the-market spy apps being hacked due to inadequate security measures. After all, mSpy allegedly ignored warnings from a security researcher before their second hack in 2018.
What we find interesting about this hack is the analysis by the researcher contacted by the anonymous hacker who broke the story. In it, the researcher reveals mspy’s alleged shady business practices. The researcher criticizes mSpy’s support for “horrible communication” and describes the company as operating a predatory subscription scheme, and luring customers with free trials that auto-renew into costly monthly or yearly subscriptions!
According to the analysis, canceling the service requires contacting support, making it difficult for users to avoid overrunning the trial. Furthermore, securing a refund can be challenging, with reports of mSpy ignoring support requests altogether.

Não existem passos adicionais que precisa de tomar para que funcione, mas aqui fica como pode encontrar as chamadas gravadas:
No seu painel de controlo selecione “Calls -> VoIP calls”, e depois escolha o serviço de IM que quer via “Dropdown”.
Se só agora fez a atualização da versão do FlexiSPY no telemóvel, não existirão nenhumas chamadas gravadas para mostrar, mas elas irão aparecer mal o telemóvel alvo comece a fazer uma chamada VoIP.

3 years after mSpy was hacked, and their customer data leaked on the web, it is reported by KrebsonSecurity that millions of sensitive mSpy records have been leaked online — this time due to a security researcher discovering an unsecured mSpy database.
While not technically a hack, it is still disturbing nonetheless, especially as it is alleged that that mSpy ignored warnings from the security researcher, and in fact blocked further communication with the researcher after attempts were made to contact mSpy’s head of security.

Getting hacked is terrible, but in defense of mSpy, this happens to many companies, regardless of the security precautions they take. And before the mainstream media starts to get glib and judgmental because they don’t like the idea of monitoring, lets not forget that Visa and MasterCard have been hacked, and their customers details sold to identity thieves.
With the information currently available, it seems likely the breach was carried out by an insider. Going by the reported acrimony between the two co founders, one could speculate that it was an inside job, and not a hack or technology security breach.

As the picture to the right shows, with some competitors, important details are missing from the captured Facebook conversation — the missing information could be vital to understanding the whole conversation.
And how do you know what really is the best spy phone software if you want to spy on Whatsapp, Facebook, Viber, Skype, and other popular IM apps?

You would be forgiven for thinking that mobile spy software has been around since God was a boy. Considering the rate of change since the Internet took over our lives, one could argue that you are right!
The reality, however, is that it’s only been ten years since the world first saw a commercial service allowing you to spy on a mobile becoming available on a subscription business model. That’s a pretty cheeky concept when you think about it 😉
So for those of you who stay awake at night asking questions like “what’s the history of mobile spy software,” this article is for you.
We did a little research and then compiled an infographic showing the emergence of the major players in the spyphone business, and a chronology of the release our products.
Here’s How We Did It.
We established the date of the establishment of spyphone vendors from the release of their websites because that’s when they could actually sell anything.
Our first step was to look at the domain research website to get the date of the domain name registration – but domain registration alone is only a part of the story because a site can lay dormant or the registration may predate the current owner’s involvement.
So we also took a look at the WayBack Machine (http://archive.org/web/), an online archive listing over 360 billion entries going back to 1996. The WayBack Machine crawls websites all over the Internet at periodic intervals, documenting and archiving historical points in time.
This gives us a snapshot of how long a company or a website has actually been around, and sometimes what they were doing at a specific period. WayBack Machine features a calendar display of individual capture dates.
You’ll notice FlexiSPY predates all of the competition, and we are proud to have inspired so many imitators – after all, it’s the ultimate flattery. Yet being the oldest or original does not guarantee anything, but our offer to buy back a competitor’s product surely speaks for itself.
What kind of company sells products by stealing the trademarked identity of its own main competitor?
No, this is not a trick question, and no, you don’t need an MBA from Harvard to figure out why a company would do this. Two answers. Their product is so bad it cannot be sold honestly or that the company is simply outright scammers.
In both cases, this company is deceiving you, the customer to get your money.
And this is exactly what we found mSpy doing on the newly registered flexispy.me domain.
A site designed specifically to deceive internet searchers into thinking that they were dealing with FlexiSPY.
There is no excuse for this. The deception is extensive, extending to the web page titles which all claim to be FlexiSPY.
It starts when you do an organic Google search for the term “flexispy”. This listing appearing at number two on the search page, just under the real FlexiSPY listing:
As you can see, only FlexiSPY is mentioned, and there is no mention of mSpy. The searcher looked for FlexiSPY, and the result says its FlexiSPY, when in fact its mSpy.
The deception continues when entering the mspy site. Note that all pages are titled FlexiSPY, including our brand capitalization of the word SPY, deliberately misleading visitors, as well as stealing our brand.
Crazy, isn’t it.
Now this happens to us a lot, after all we are the market leaders, and have been so for eight years. We have been used to Chinese and Turkish entities cloning our entire site simply to sell poor products, but this is the first time we have seen this behavior from a company that considers itself credible.
We used to think mspy were a genuine company, albeit it with less than stellar products, but this lack of integrity places mspy alongside the sellers of fake Gucci bags.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery, theft of internet searches using straight out lies to customers is quite something else
We’ve already filed a complaint with ICANN regarding a Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution (UDRP) decision, and requested mSpy to desist using our trademark name.
We have also contacted Google to have this site de-indexed for breach of copyright and we will keep you posted
We’d like to warn all customers to please be very careful when doing research online. Many sites pretend to be the real deal when in reality are as authentic as a Louis Vuitton knock-off from a back alley street market.
Finally, one must wonder what the marketers of mSpy must think of their own product, resorting to tactics like this for a profit.
For anyone who still thinks that this particular mSpy site is not a scam, then please check your spam folders for an urgent matter regarding an innocent ex-government official from a recently overthrown regime who is looking for a silent business partner to receive a wire of large sum of money.

mSpy have since given their FlexiSPY.me site a repaint. however, the deception they are practicing still remains the same. Guess a leopard can’t change it’s spots, huh.. Here’s a screenshot of their new and improved copy cat site.
We’ll keep a watch on these mSpy fella’s to see what they do next, we can only guess but we figure – based on experience- that it’ll be mSpy making some other attempt to further fool people into thinking that they’re actually genuine software.

mSpy contacted us on 29th January, explaining that the URL belonged to one of their affiliates and was not sanctioned by them. We did notice the URL was pointed to mSpy.me for a while, but now directs to google.com.
We thank mSpy for this action, because we ourselves have rogue affiliates that will do anything to make money. This is unacceptable, as it is not good for the customer, the company or the cell phone monitoring business as a whole.
mSpy and FlexiSPY are not the only ones to become a victim of deceptive advertising. This is very common, especially when it comes to spyphone product reviews. We openly run a review site, www.spyphonereview.com where we publish in depth testing of competitor products, but the web is full of fake review sites that are designed to deceive customers. This is not good for anyone, and we would like to ask for your help to protect customers.
One example of such a site is SpyAppsReviews. To be clear, we are NOT claiming that spyappsreview is deceptive, but their recommendations seem far fetched enough to merit a closer look. We are currently investigating such sites, to see if they are guilty of misleading customers and we will publish our results on spyphonereview.
