    In order to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT you will need the following.

    • The Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT you want to root in your hand.
    • A PC.

    Step 1 – Download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT for your PC

    In order for your PC to recognise the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT as part of the rooting process you first must download and install the USB drivers on to your PC.

    You can download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT from here.

    Once you have downloaded them run the main program file to make sure the drivers are installed.

    Step 2 – Download the Odin rooting program and root file

    In order to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT using the root file given in the next step you must first download Odin which is what will be used to install the root file on to the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT and perform the rooting process.

    Once downloaded extract the file to a convenient location such as the desktop.

    Step 3 – Enable USB debugging on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT

    In order for your PC to recognise the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT when you plug it in to perform rooting you must first enable USB debugging on the phone itself. This is done by doing the following.

    1. Tap the Settings option.
    2. Tap the About Phone option.
    3. Keep tapping the Build Number option (seven times) until it says you are a developer.
    4. Tap the new Developer Options menu that appears.
    5. Make sure that the USB Debugging option is checked.

    Step 4 – Root the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT

    Now that we have all we need it is time to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT. Before we can do that you must first put the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT in to Download mode which can be done using the following steps.

    1. Make sure the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT is powered off completely.
    2. Hold down the Volume down key and the Home key and the power button and keep all three buttons pressed until the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT powers up.
    3. Providing you have done it correctly it should boot in to Download mode and you press the Volume up key to start Download mode.
    4. Connect the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT now to your PC.
    5. Run the Odin software you downloaded in step 2.
    6. Inside Odin click the AP option and browse on your computer to the root file (.tar file) you extracted in step 3.
    7. Inside Odin click Start to begin the root process.

    The process will take a few moments after which the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT will restart itself and complete the rooting process – Do not remove the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT from your PC during this time.

    Once the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT starts up properly simply go to Apps and look for the SuperSU icon that should now be present. If you can see this icon it means that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT has been successfully rooted.

    What is needed to root the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM- N900A)?

    This Sony device can actually be rooted using the device itself. This means that you only need the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM- N900A) that you wish to root in your hand, unlike other Android phones this phone can be rooted without needing a PC.

    Step 1 – Enable the installation of unknown sources

    Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM- N900A) requires the use of the towelroot rooting software. This is software that you must download and run on the phone itself. Before you can do this however you need to enable the installation of unknown sources.

    On the phone itself go to Settings > Security and tap the Unknown Sources option (make sure it is checked).

    Step 2 – Download towelroot

    Now that you have enabled the installation of unknown sources it is time to root the phone by downloading towelroot.

    Open the phone browser.

    Navigate to https://towelroot.com/

    Tap the main icon to download the APK file.

    Save the APK file to your phone.

    Step 3 – Root the phone

    Now that you have downloaded towelroot on to the phone please run it.

    On the screen that appears tap the make it ra1n option.

    Wait for the rooting process to complete.

    After towelroot completes you need to install SuperSU. To do this you go to the Play Store and download and install SuperSU which is a free application.

    When you have downloaded SuperSU, run it and let it update itself.

    Once this has been done you should successfully have root access on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM- N900A).

    Now that we have installed the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 (SM-G355H) USB drivers and downloaded Odin we now need to download the root package to be used for the rooting process.

    You can download the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 (SM-G355H) root package from here.

    Save it in an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. Do not extract it.

    Step 2 – Copy the root package to the device

    Connect the device to your PC. Copy the root file you downloaded in step 1 to an easy to find location on the device such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 3 – Root the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 (SM-G355H)

    We now need to put it in to recovery mode.

    • Make sure the device is powered off completely
    • Hold down Volume Up + Home + Power together until the phone turns on again and boots in to recovery mode.

    Once the phone has booted in to recovery mode go to Install zip from SD card (External Storage).

    Browse to the root zip package you just copied to the phone and then install it and wait for it to finish.

    Once done go back to the main recovery menu and reboot the phone.

    Once the phone reboots you should see the SuperSU application meaning that you have successfully rooted the device.

    This guide will show you how to root the HTC One Mini 2 Android phone.

    What is needed to root the HTC One Mini 2?

    In order to root the HTC One Mini 2 you will need the following.

    • The HTC One Mini 2 you wish to root
    • A PC

    Step 1 – Download the HTC USB drivers and install them on to your PC

    You must download and install the USB drivers for your device on to your PC. You can get them from here. Save the file to your PC and install it to install the drivers.

    Step 2 – Unlock the HTC One Mini 2 bootloader

    Before you can root the device you must unlock the bootloader. We explain how to do that here.

    Step 3 – Download Fastboot

    Download Fastboot and save it to your PC. Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. You can get it from here.

    Step 4 – Download the TWRP custom recovery

    You must flash a custom recovery to the device in order to root it. You can get it from here. Save the file to your desktop. When downloaded rename the file so that it is called recovery.img.

    Step 5 – Download SuperSU

    Download SuperSU from here. Save it the desktop of your PC. Do not extract it.

    Step 6 – Enable USB debugging on the HTC One Mini 2

    On the device go to Menu > Settings > Developer options > USB debugging and make sure the option is checked.

    Step 7 – Copy SuperSU to the HTC One Mini 2

    Now that the device has USB debugging enabled connect it to your PC (tap Yes on the device when asked) and then copy the SuperSU zip file from step 4 to an easy to find location on the device such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 8 – Install the custom recovery

    On your PC desktop hold down the Shift key and right-click and click Open a command window here.

    In the command window that appears type the following and press Enter when done.

    adb reboot bootloader

    The device should reboot in to the bootloader.

    Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to select the Fastboot option and select it with the Power button.

    On your PC, in the command window, type the following and press Enter when done.

    fastboot boot recovery.img

    The device should boot in to the custom recovery mode using the file you downloaded and renamed from step 3.

    Step 9 – Root the device

    With the device booted in to custom recovery tap Install and then browse to the SuperSU zip file you copied to the device in step 6.

    Tap on Swipe to confirm Flash.

    Once the file has been flashed reboot your device by tapping Reboot and then System.

    Once the device reboots you should now see SuperSU installed as a new application meaning that you have successfully rooted the device.

    Connect the device to your computer, and the device should be recognised thanks to the USB drivers you installed on to your PC from step 1.

    On your PC, inside the folder where you have both Fastboot and the custom recovery run the RunFastboot.bat file.

    The device will boot in to recovery mode.

    On the device exit recovery mode and you will be asked if you want to root the device.

    Tap Yes.

    The device will then reboot and once this is done it will be rooted and you should see SuperSU installed as a new application.

    What is needed to root the Sony Xperia E3 (D2203)?

    To root the Sony Xperia E3 you will need the following:

    • The Sony Xperia E3 you wish to root
    • Access to a PC

    Step 1 – Unlock the bootloader of the Sony Xperia E3 (D2203)

    In order to root the device you must first unlock the bootloader. To do that follow the instructions here.

    Not all devices can have their bootloader unlocked. If your bootloader cannot be unlocked then the device cannot be rooted at this time.

    Once you have unlocked your bootloader successfully move to the next step.

    Step 2 – Download the Sony Xperia E3 flash tool

    Download the Sony Xperia E3 flash tool to your PC and save it in a convenient location such as your desktop. Once downloaded extract it to its own folder. You can get it from here.

    Step 3 – Download and install Java on to your PC

    So that the flash tool works you must download and install Java on to your PC which you can get from here.

    Step 4 – Install the USB drivers for the Sony Xperia E3 using the Flash tool

    Browse to the folder you created in step 1 and run Flashtool-drivers.exe and follow the steps to install the USB drivers for the device.

    Step 5 – Check the model of the device before proceeding

    This root method only works if the model of the device is D2203.

    DO NOT PERFORM THIS ROOT METHOD ON A SONY XPERIA E3 WITH A DIFFERENT MODEL NUMBER.

    If the model number matches proceed to the next step.

    Step 6 – Download the image file for the Sony Xperia E3 (D2203)

    In order to root the device you will flash to it an image file. To download the image file for the Sony Xperia E3 (D2203) click here. Save the image file to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. There is no need to extract the file.

    Step 7 – Download SuperSU

    You will also need to manually copy the SuperSU program to the device after rooting it. You can download the file from here. Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. There is no need to extract the file.

    Connect the device to your PC and copy the SuperSU zip file to it in an easy to find location such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 8 – Run the Flash tool

    On your PC run the Flash Tool from step 2 (make sure you run it with Administrative Rights on your PC).

    Step 9 – Prepare the device

    On the device itself hold down the volume up button and then connect it to your PC. If the device is correctly recognised the flash tool should say ‘Device is connected in flash mode’.

    Step 10 – Boot the device in to Fastboot mode

    Inside the Flash Tool click the flash button (the lightning bolt).

    Make sure Fastboot Mode is selected and then click OK.

    Click the Selected Kernel to Flash option and browse to the image file you saved to your PC from step 6.

    MAKE SURE THE IMAGE FILE MATCHES THE MODEL NUMBER OF YOUR DEVICE!

    Select the image file from step 6.

    Wait for the process to complete.

    Step 11 – Install SuperSU

    Press and hold down the power button on the device until a purple light appears on the device. When this happens keep pressing volume up and volume down, one after the other, until the device boots in to recovery mode.

    Whilst in recovery mode navigate to Install Zip and then select Choose Zip From and browse to the SuperSU zip file you copied to the device in step 7 and agree to unzip it.

    On the device, exit recovery mode and, inside the Flash Tool on your PC (remember, the device should still be connected to your PC at all times during this procedure) click the Fix Root option and then reboot the device.

    Once the device reboots (this may take a while – please be patient) you should now see SuperSU installed meaning that you have successfully rooted the device.

    What is needed to root the LG Optimus Exceed?

    To root the LG Optimus Exceed you will need the following:

    Step 1 – Download the LG Optimus USB driver for your PC

    So that the phone is recognised for when you plug it in to your PC you must download the LG Optimus Exceed USB drivers and install them – you can get them from here.

    Step 2 –Download the LG Optimus Exceed root files

    In order to root the phone you must first download the root file batch file which you can get from here. Download the file and save it in an easy to find location such as your desktop and extract it to its own folder.

    Step 3 – Root the LG Optimus Exceed

    Now that we have downloaded the necessary files it is time to start rooting the LG Optimus Exceed.

    The first thing that needs to be done is to enable USB Debugging on the device.

    To do this, on the device itself, go to Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging and make sure the option is checked.

    If you do not see the Developer Options menu go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Information and tap the Build Number option until it tells you that you are a developer and that developer options have been enabled.

    Connect the phone to your PC.

    Choose USB LG Mode as the connection type when prompted on the device.

    Browse to the folder you extracted in step 2 and run the windows-install.bat file. Follow the on-screen prompts to root the device.

    Once the process has finished you should now see SuperSU installed meaning your successfully rooted the LG Optimus Exceed.

    What is needed to root the Sony Xperia E3 (D2212 DUAL)?

    To root the Sony Xperia E3 you will need the following:

    • The Sony Xperia E3 you wish to root
    • Access to a PC

    Step 1 – Unlock the bootloader of the Sony Xperia E3 (D2212 DUAL)

    In order to root the device you must first unlock the bootloader. To do that follow the instructions here.

    Not all devices can have their bootloader unlocked. If your bootloader cannot be unlocked then the device cannot be rooted at this time.

    Once you have unlocked your bootloader successfully move to the next step.

    Step 2 – Download the Sony Xperia E3 flash tool

    Download the Sony Xperia E3 flash tool to your PC and save it in a convenient location such as your desktop. Once downloaded extract it to its own folder. You can get it from here.

    Step 3 – Download and install Java on to your PC

    So that the flash tool works you must download and install Java on to your PC which you can get from here.

    Step 4 – Install the USB drivers for the Sony Xperia E3 using the Flash tool

    Browse to the folder you created in step 1 and run Flashtool-drivers.exe and follow the steps to install the USB drivers for the device.

    Step 5 – Check the model of the device before proceeding

    This root method only works if the model of the device is D2212 DUAL.

    DO NOT PERFORM THIS ROOT METHOD ON A SONY XPERIA E3 WITH A DIFFERENT MODEL NUMBER.

    If the model number matches proceed to the next step.

    Step 6 – Download the image file for the Sony Xperia E3 (D2212 DUAL)

    In order to root the device you will flash to it an image file. To download the image file for the Sony Xperia E3 (D2212 DUAL) click here. Save the image file to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. There is no need to extract the file.

    Step 7 – Download SuperSU

    You will also need to manually copy the SuperSU program to the device after rooting it. You can download the file from here. Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as the desktop. There is no need to extract the file.

    Connect the device to your PC and copy the SuperSU zip file to it in an easy to find location such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 8 – Run the Flash tool

    On your PC run the Flash Tool from step 2 (make sure you run it with Administrative Rights on your PC).

    Step 9 – Prepare the device

    On the device itself hold down the volume up button and then connect it to your PC. If the device is correctly recognised the flash tool should say ‘Device is connected in flash mode’.

    Step 10 – Boot the device in to Fastboot mode

    Inside the Flash Tool click the flash button (the lightning bolt).

    Make sure Fastboot Mode is selected and then click OK.

    Click the Selected Kernel to Flash option and browse to the image file you saved to your PC from step 6.

    Select the image file from step 6.

    Wait for the process to complete.

    This Sony device can actually be rooted using the device itself. This means that you only need the Samsung Galaxy Fresh GT-S7390 that you wish to root in your hand, unlike other Android phones this phone can be rooted without needing a PC.

    Step 1 – Enable the installation of unknown sources

    Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Fresh GT-S7390 requires the use of the towelroot rooting software. This is software that you must download and run on the phone itself. Before you can do this however you need to enable the installation of unknown sources.

    On the phone itself go to Settings > Security and tap the Unknown Sources option (make sure it is checked).

    Step 2 – Download towelroot

    Now that you have enabled the installation of unknown sources it is time to root the phone by downloading towelroot.

    Open the phone browser.

    Navigate to https://towelroot.com/

    Tap the main icon to download the APK file.

    Save the APK file to your phone.

    Step 3 – Root the phone

    Now that you have downloaded towelroot on to the phone please run it.

    On the screen that appears tap the make it ra1n option.

    Wait for the rooting process to complete.

    After towelroot completes you need to install SuperSU.

    To do this you go to the Play Store and download and install SuperSU which is a free application.

    When you have downloaded SuperSU, run it and let it update itself.

    Once this has been done you should successfully have root access on the Samsung Galaxy Fresh GT-S7390.

    What is needed to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535?

    In order to root the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 you will need the following.

    • A PC.

    Step 1 – Download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 for your PC

    In order for your PC to recognise the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 as part of the rooting process you first must download and install the USB drivers on to your PC.

    You can download the USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 from here.

    Once you have downloaded them run the main program file to make sure the drivers are installed.

    Step 2 – Download the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 root file

    You need to flash a root file to the device using Odin from step 2.

    You can download the file from here.

    Save it to an easy to find location on your PC such as your desktop and extract it to its own folder.

    Step 3 – Enable USB debugging on the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535

    In order for your PC to recognise the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 when you plug it in to perform rooting you must first enable USB debugging on the phone itself. This is done by doing the following.

    1. Tap the Settings option.
    2. Tap the About Phone option.
    3. Keep tapping the Build Number option (seven times) until it says you are a developer.
    4. Tap the new Developer Options menu that appears.
    5. Make sure that the USB Debugging option is checked.

    Step 4 – Root the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535

    Now that you have downloaded the root file to your PC and installed the USB drivers for the device and enabled USB debugging on the device it is time to root the device.

    Simply connect the device to your PC using the USB cable and tap OK on the device when prompted.

    On your PC browse to the folder from step 2 you extracted the root file to and run the install.bat file and then follow the steps that appear to root the device.

    Once the device is rooted it will reboot and you will now see the SuperSU icon which shows that the device has been successfully rooted and you can disconnect it from your PC.

    Note: If, after rooting the device, you see the message ‘SuperSU has stopped’ you need to download and install the latest version of SuperSU on to the device.

    To do that follow these steps:

    • Download the latest version of SuperSU from here and save it on your PC to the desktop.
    • Connect your device to your PC and copy the SuperSU file you just downloaded to the device in an easy to find location such as the Downloads folder.
    • Disconnect the device from the PC and run the SuperSU file you just copied to it (you may need to install a File Manager program from the Play Store to do this). This will install the latest version of SuperSU.

    Once installed open SuperSU and let it update its binary and you are all finished.

  • How To Jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 Or 8.1.2 On Mac

    Currently there is no dedicated Mac tool for jailbreaking an iOS device running either iOS 8.1.1 or iOS 8.1.2 but you can still use a Mac to jailbreak a compatible iOS device as long as you are willing to get a little technical and install Windows on to your Mac.

    This article will show you how to easily set up a virtual machine using VMWare Fusion (30 day trial) and then use a 90 day trial of Windows 7 to install on to the virtual machine that you then use to jailbreak the iOS device.

    Please note that both VMWare Fusion and Windows 7 used here are large downloads so it may take some time if you have a slower internet connection.

    Step 1 – Download the virtual machine software

    On your Mac download the 30 day trial of VMWare Fusion which you can get here.

    Once you have downloaded it run it and install it on to your Mac.

    Step 2 – Download Windows 7

    Download an ISO of Windows 7 which will work for 90 days from here.

    Once you have downloaded it save it to a convenient location on your Mac such as the desktop.

    Step 3 – Install Windows 7 in to the virtual machine

    With VMWare Fusion installed on your Mac run it.

    When VMWare Fusion asks you for the installation method choose Install from disc or image and then click Continue.

    Select the Windows 7 ISO from step 2 when asked and wait for Windows 7 to be installed in to the virtual machine whilst following the on-screen prompts that may occur during the Windows 7 installation although most of the installation is automated.

    Step 4 – Install VMWare Tools

    Once you have successfully installed Windows 7 in to the virtual machine you will be asked to install VMWare Tools. Follow the instructions that appear to do this.

    Step 5 – Download and install iTunes to your Windows 7 virtual machine

    Now that you have installed Windows 7 in to the virtual machine as well as VMWare Tools VMWare Fusion should now boot in to Windows 7 and it will work exactly as Windows 7 would normally work on a PC.

    Download and install iTunes to your Windows 7 virtual machine by getting it from here.

    Step 6 – Download the jailbreak tool to your Windows 7 virtual machine

    You now need to download the Taig PC jailbreaking tool which you can get from here.

    Save the download to an easy to find location on your Windows 7 virtual machine, such as the desktop and extract it to its own folder.

    Step 7 – Use your Windows 7 Virtual Machine and Taig to jailbreak the device

    Simply connect the iOS device to your Mac and make sure it is shown inside your Windows 7 virtual environment.

    Once it is shown run the Taig jailbreak tool from step 6.

    Follow the instructions that are shown within the Taig program to jailbreak the connected device.

    What is needed to root the OnePlus One?

    In order to root the OnePlus One you will need the following:

    • The OnePlus One in your hand which you wish to root
    • Access to a PC

    Step 1 – Download and install Java on to your PC

    In order to root the OnePlus One you must have Java installed on your PC. You can get the latest version from here. Download and run the installer to install Java on to your PC.

    Step 2 – Download the OnePlus One rooting tool to your PC

    The first thing to do is download the OnePlus One rooting kit on to your PC. You can download it from here.

    Once downloaded extract the toolkit to its own folder.

    Step 3 – Install the ADB drivers for the OnePlus One

    On your PC run the toolkit you downloaded in step 2.

    When it appears click Download ADB drivers and follow the instructions and wait for that to be completed before moving to the next step.

    Step 4 – Enable USB debugging on the OnePlus One

    On the device itself you must enable USB debugging before it can be rooted.

    Go to Settings > About Phone and tap Build Number repeatedly until it says you are a developer.

    Tap back to exit the About Phone menu and then tap the new Developer Options menu.

    Make sure the USB Debugging option is checked.

    Step 5 – Put the OnePlus One in to Fastboot mode

    Connect the OnePlus One to your PC via the USB cable and tap Always Allow followed by OK on the device when prompted.

    Inside the OnePlus One toolkit click Enter fastboot/recovery mode.

    The device will then reboot and it will be in Fastboot mode.

    Step 6 – Unlock the OnePlus One bootloader

    You must unlock the bootloader before you can successfully root the device.

    With the OnePlus One still connected to your PC and in Fastboot mode, inside the OnePlus One toolkit on your PC, click Unlock Bootloader. The device will reboot and the bootloader will be unlocked – THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DEVICE.

    Step 7 – Re-enable USB debugging

    Now that the device has been factory restored you must enable USB debugging again as you did before.

    Follow step 4 again.

    Once done, proceed to the next step.

    Step 8 – Flash a custom recovery to the OnePlus One

    With the device still connected to your PC, inside the OnePlus One toolkit click Flash!.

    When prompted make sure TWRP is selected and click Download.

    A command prompt will appear.

    Close the command prompt and click Flash! inside the OnePlus One toolkit.

    Step 9 – Boot the OnePlus One in to recovery mode

    Using the OnePlus One toolkit click Boot and then click TWRP.

    The device should boot in to the custom recovery you installed in step 8.

    Step 10 – Root the OnePlus One

    With the device still connected to your PC from the previous steps and now in recovery mode tap Reboot on the device itself.

    With the device still in recovery mode tap System.

    Tap Swipe to Install when prompted to root the OnePlus One.

    Step 11 – Install SuperSU on to the OnePlus One

    On the device itself swipe down on the notification bar at the top of the screen to show all notifications.

    You should see a notification regarding installing SuperSU (SuperSU Installer).

    Tap Install SuperSU and then tap Play.

    The Play Store will open with SuperSU listed.

    Tap Install.

    Once it has been installed tap Open.

    Update the SuperSU binary when asked by tapping Continue.

    Tap Normal when asked to update SuperSU without using a custom recovery.

    Once this has been completed the OnePlus One will have been successfully rooted.

    Step 4 – Enable USB Debugging On The Motorola Droid Mini

    To enable USB debugging on the Motorola Droid Mini do the following:

    Go to Menu -> Settings -> Scroll Down to Development and make sure USB Debugging is checked.

    Step 5 – Root the Motorola Droid Mini

    Now that everything is downloaded or installed it is time to root the phone.

    1. Connect the phone to your PC

    2. Open up a Windows command prompt.

    3. Navigate to your Android SDK folder where you installed ADB

    4. Type adb install -r PwnMyMoto-1.4.3-Droid.apk

    5. Wait for the program to be pushed to the phone.

    6. On the phone, under Apps, run PwnMyMoto.

    7. The phone will reboot several times during this process.

    8. Once the process is finished go to the Play Store.

    9. Download and install SuperSU.

    10. Once SuperSU is installed update it and the phone is rooted.

    After you have followed the steps above you will have successfully rooted the Motorola Droid Mini.
