    This guide will show you how to root the Motorola Atrix HD phone.

    FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way. Before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely. This guide is only for the Motorola Atrix HD whose model number is MB886 – it may not work on other models!

    What is needed to root the Motorola Atrix HD?

    In order to root the Motorola Atrix HD you will need the following.

    • The Motorola Atrix HD you wish to root
    • A PC

    Step 1 – Set up the Android SDK environment on your PC

    Before you can run the rooting tools on your PC to root the Motorola Atrix HD you must first set up the Android development environment correctly.

    You can download the SDK from here.

    Step 2 – Download and install the Motorola USB drivers on your PC

    So that when you plug in the Motorola Atrix HD in to your PC to root it your PC recognises it you need to download and install the USB drivers which you can get from here. Simply download the file, extract it and run it and install the USB drivers and then you can move to the next step.

    Step 3 – Download the Motorola Atrix HD root tool

    Once you have installed the USB drivers for the phone on to your PC you also need to download the program that will root the phone. You can get it from here. Make sure that you save the file to an easy to remember location such as your desktop and that you extract the file to its own folder.

    Step 4 – Enable USB debugging on the Motorola Atrix HD (MB886)

    To enable USB debugging on the Motorola Atrix HD do the following:

    Go to Menu -> Settings -> Scroll Down to Development and make sure USB Debugging is checked.

    Step 5 – Root the Motorola Atrix HD

    Now that everything is downloaded or installed it is time to root the phone.

    1. Connect the phone to your PC
    2. On the phone make sure it connects as a camera or media and not as USB mass storage.
    3. Open the folder you extracted in step 3.
    4. Double-click the run.bat file to start the rooting process.
    5. Follow the instruction that appear onscreen to root the phone.
    6. The phone will restart once rooting is complete.
    7. Unplug the phone from your PC.

    When the Motorola Atrix HD reboots you will see the SuperSU icon which means that the phone has been successfully rooted.

    This guide will show you how to root the Motorola Droid Mini phone.

    What do you need to root the Motorola Droid Mini?

    In order to root the Motorola Droid Mini you will need the following:

    Step 5 – Root the Motorola Droid Mini

    Now that everything is downloaded or installed it is time to root the phone.

    1. Connect the phone to your PC

    2. Open up a Windows command prompt.

    3. Navigate to your Android SDK folder where you installed ADB

    4. Type adb install -r PwnMyMoto-1.4.3-Droid.apk

    5. Wait for the program to be pushed to the phone.

    6. On the phone, under Apps, run PwnMyMoto.

    7. The phone will reboot several times during this process.

    8. Once the process is finished go to the Play Store.

    9. Download and install SuperSU.

    10. Once SuperSU is installed update it and the phone is rooted.

    After you have followed the steps above you will have successfully rooted the Motorola Droid Mini.

    This guide will show you how to root the Motorola Moto E phone.

    What do you need to root the Motorola Moto E?

    In order to root the Motorola Moto E you will need the following:

    • The Motorola Moto E you wish to root in your hand
    • Access to a PC

    Step 1 – Unlock the bootloader of the Motorola Moto E

    Before you can root the device you must first unlock the bootloader of the device.

    In order to be able to root the Motorola Moto E you need to unlock the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked it allows you to then connect the Motorola Moto E to your PC and perform the rooting process.

    You can start the bootloader unlock process here.

    How it works is that you have to connect the Motorola Moto E to your PC, run a command to get a unique token and then you put that in to the Motorola bootloader website and get a response back which you enter on the PC and then the Motorola Moto E will do its magic and unlock the bootloader ready for the next step.

    Step 2 – Download and install and set up ADB on your PC

    You must download and install ADB on your PC. We show you how to do that here.

    Step 3 – Copy SuperSU to the Motorola Moto E

    Download SuperSU from here and save it to a convenient location on your PC such as the desktop.

    Once you have done that connect the Motorola Moto E to your PC and copy the SuperSU zip file to an easy to find location on the Motorola Moto E such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 4 – Install a custom recovery on the Motorola Moto E

    To be able to root the device, after unlocking the bootloader and copying SuperSU to the device you must then install a custom recovery.

    You can download Clockworkmod recovery from here.

    Save the Clockworkmod file you downloaded to the Platform-Tools folder where you installed ADB on your PC in step 2.

    You now need to boot the Motorola Moto E in to recovery mode.

    To do this do the following:

    • Make sure the Motorola Moto E is powered off completely.
    • Hold down the Volume and Power button together until it boots up in to Fastboot mode.

    With the device in Fastboot mode connect it to your PC.

    On your PC, navigate to the Platform-Tools folder on your PC for ADB then press the Shift key and the right-mouse button to open a command prompt window.

    Then type the following command and press Enter when done.

    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

    This will flash the custom recovery file from step 4 to the Motorola Moto E.

    Step 5 – Root the Motorola Moto E

    Now that the recovery mode has been flashed to the device you can disconnect it from your PC.

    On the Motorola Moto E select the Recovery option to enter the recovery menu that was just flashed to the device.

    Whilst the device is in recovery mode select Install zip from SD and browse to the SuperSU zip file you saved to the device from step 3.

    SuperSU will be flashed to the device and then choose to reboot the device from the recovery menu.

    Once the device has been rebooted the device will now be rooted and you can disconnect it from your PC.

    What is needed to root the Motorola Droid Bionic?

    To root the Motorola Droid Bionic you will need the following.

    • The Motorola Droid Bionic you want to root in your hand.
    • A PC.

    Step 1 – Download a virtual machine program

    The Motorola Droid Bionic cannot be rooted in Windows. It can only be done using Linux so you have to run Linux on a virtual machine within your Windows environment.

    You can download virtual machine software from here.

    Once downloaded install the software on to your PC.

    Step 2 – Download the Linux environment for the virtual machine software

    You now need to download the Linux environment to be used with the virtual machine software.

    You can get it from here.

    Step 3 – Open up the Linux environment on the virtual machine software.

    Run the virtual machine software from step 1.

    Click File > Import Appliance and browse to the .ova file you downloaded in step 2.

    Click the green Start button inside the virtual machine software to load up the Linux working environment.

    Step 4 – Root the Motorola Droid Bionic

    When the Linux environment boots up follow the steps exactly as listed to perform the rooting process, connecting the device to your computer when prompted.

    Once completed you will see the SuperSU application which means you have rooted the device successfully.

    To root the Motorola Moto G you will need the following.

    Step 1 – Download the PC USB drivers for the Motorola Moto G

    Before we begin you need to download the USB drivers for the phone to your PC so that when you connect the Motorola Moto G to your PC to perform later steps the PC will recognize the phone.

    Step 2 – Enable ADB and set up the Android SDK environment on your PC

    You need to set up the Android SDK environment on your PC which you can do so by following the article here.

    Step 3 – Enable USB debugging mode on the Motorola Moto G

    Now that you have installed the USB drivers for the Motorola Moto G on to your PC you need to enable USB debugging mode on the phone itself so that it is recognised by your PC when you plug the Motorola Moto G to perform later steps.

    You can enable USB debugging mode on the Motorola Moto G using the steps below.

    1. On the Motorola Moto G tap the Settings option.
    2. Tap the About option.
    3. On this menu tap ‘Build Number’ seven times continuously.
    4. Once you have done that go back to the Settings option.
    5. Tap the new Developer Option menu that has appeared.
    6. Make sure the USB Debugging option is checked.
    7. Tap OK to confirm.

     

    Now that you have enabled USB debugging on the Motorola Moto G it is time to move on to the next step.

    Step 4 – Unlock the Motorola Moto G bootloader

    In order to be able to root the Motorola Moto G you need to unlock the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked it allows you to then connect the Motorola Moto G to your PC and perform the rooting process.

    Step 6 – Put the Motorola Moto G in to Bootloader mode

    On the device itself you need to put it in to Bootloader mode which is done as follows:

    • Make sure the device is turned off completely.
    • Press Volume Down and the Power button at the same time and wait for the device to boot in to Bootloader mode.
    • When the device is in bootloader mode connect it to your PC.

    Step 7 – Root the Motorola Moto G

    Using the command prompt window you opened in step 5, make sure you have navigated to the ‘Moto’ folder that you made previously and then type the following and press Enter when done:

    superboot-windows.bat

    Wait for the process to be completed.

    Once the device has rebooted it should now be successfully rooted.

    Now that everything is downloaded or installed it is time to root the phone.

    1. Connect the phone to your PC
    2. On the phone make sure it connects as a camera or media and not as USB mass storage.
    3. Open the folder you extracted in step 3.

    How To Root The Motorola Razr I

    This guide will show you how to root the Motorola Razr I phone.

    What is needed to root the Motorola Razr I?

    In order to root the Motorola Droid Maxx you will need the following.

    • The Motorola Razr I you wish to root
    • A PC.

    Step 1 – Set up the Android SDK environment on your PC

    Step 2 – Unlock the bootloader of the Motorola Razr I

    Before you can root the phone you must unlock the bootloader. You can do that by following the instruction given here.

    Step 3 – Download the Clockworkmod recovery image

    In order to root the Motorola Razr I you need to install the Clockworkmod recovery image on to the phone first. You can download the recovery image from here. Once you have downloaded the file save it to a location on your PC that is easy to access such as your desktop.

    Step 4 – Download the Motorola Razr I root zip file

    After installing the Clockworkmod recovery environment you must then run the root file from the phone itself to root it. You can download the Motorola Razr I root file from here. Once you have downloaded the file save it to a location on your PC that is easy to access such as your desktop.

    Step 5 – Enable USB debugging on the Motorola Razr I

    So that the Motorola Razr I is recognised by your PC once you connect it as part of the rooting process you must enable USB debugging. To do that go to Menu > Settings > Developer Options and make sure that USB Debugging is checked.

    Step 6 – Root the phone

    To root the phone follow the steps below.

    1. Make sure the Motorola Razr I is powered on.
    2. Make sure USB debugging is enabled (see step 5).
    3. Connect the Motorola Razr I to your PC.
    4. Open up command prompt.
    5. Type ‘adb reboot bootloader’ (without quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the Motorola Razr I will reboot and be in FASTBOOT mode.
    6. Type ‘fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery-razri-tryAtouch.img’ (without the quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the recovery file will be flashed to the phone.
    7. Type ‘fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader’ (without quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the Motorola Razr I will boot in to the Bootloader menu.
    8. Using the Volume up and down buttons to choose and the Power button to select make sure the RECOVERY option is selected. If done properly the phone will reboot in to recovery mode and Clockworkmod that was flashed in the previous step will load.
    9. Choose the ‘Install zip from SDcard’ option.
    10. Browse to the folder on the phone you saved the root file to from step 4 earlier.
    11. Select the root zip file and confirm you wish to flash it.
    12. Once the file has been flashed reboot the Motorola Razr I

    Once the Motorola Razr I restarts look for the SuperSU icon that will appear. This means that you have successfully rooted the Motorola Razr I.

    So that the Motorola Droid Razr XT910 is recognised by your PC once you connect it as part of the rooting process you must enable USB debugging. To do that go to Menu > Settings > Developer Options and make sure that USB Debugging is checked.

    Step 4 – Download the Motorola Droid Razr XT910 root file

    So that you can root the phone you must first download the root file to your PC from here and save it to an easy to access location such as your desktop and extract it to its own folder.

    Step 5 – Root the phone

    To root the Motorola Droid Razr XT910 connect it to your PC and make sure it is running in MTP mode.

    After that do the following:

    1. Browse to the folder you extracted in step 4.
    2. Run the rootscript.bat file.
    3. Wait for the phone to be rooted.

    Once the rooting process has finished disconnect the phone and then look for the SuperSU icon which means that you have performed rooting successfully.

    6. On the phone, under Apps, run PwnMyMoto.
    7. The phone will reboot several times during this process.
    8. Once the process is finished go to the Play Store.
    9. Download and install SuperSU.
    10. Once SuperSU is installed update it and the phone is rooted.

    After you have followed the steps above you will have successfully rooted the Motorola Droid Maxx.

    How To Root the Motorola Moto X

    This guide will show you how to root the Motorola Moto X Android phone.

    Disclaimer: FlexiSPY is not responsible for rooting the Android device in any way, before performing any of these steps make sure you back up your Android device completely. Rooting is done entirely by you at your own risk.

    What is needed to root the Motorola Moto X?

    To root the Motorola Moto X you will need the following

    • The Motorola Moto X you want to root in your hand
    • A PC.

    Step 1 – Download the PC USB drivers for the Motorola Moto X

    Before we begin you need to download the USB drivers for the phone to your PC so that when you connect the Motorola Moto X to your PC to perform later steps the PC will recognize the phone.

    Save it to your computer in a safe place such as your desktop and extract the contents to a new folder which you will need later

    Step 2 – Enable USB debugging mode on the Motorola Moto X

    Now that you have installed the USB drivers for the Motorola Moto X on to your PC you need to enable USB debugging mode on the phone itself so that it is recognised by your PC when you plug the Motorola Moto X to perform later steps.

    You can enable USB debugging mode on the Motorola Moto X using the steps below.

    1. On the Motorola Moto X tap the Settings option.
    2. Tap the About option.
    3. On this menu tap ‘Build Number’ seven times continuously.
    4. Once you have done that go back to the Settings option.
    5. Tap the new Developer Option menu that has appeared.
    6. Make sure the USB Debugging option is checked.
    7. Tap OK to confirm.

    Now that you have enabled USB debugging on the Motorola Moto X it is time to move on to the next step.

    Step 3 – Unlock the Motorola Moto X bootloader

    In order to be able to root the Motorola Moto X you need to unlock the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked it allows you to then connect the Motorola Moto X to your PC and perform the rooting process.

    How it works is that you have to connect the Motorola Moto X to your PC, run a command to get a unique token and then you put that in to the Motorola bootloader website and get a response back which you enter on the PC and then the Motorola Moto X will do its magic and unlock the bootloader ready for the next step.

    Step 4 – Download the Motorola Moto X root file and save it your PC

    With the USB drivers installed, the Motorola Moto X with USB debugging enabled and the bootloader unlocked it is time to download the root file that will be used to root the phone.

    You can download the root file from here.

    Save it in an easy location such as the desktop and then extract it to its own folder.

    Connect the Motorola Moto X to your PC and transfer the root zip file to the phone in an easy location such as the Downloads folder.

    Step 5 – Download the Clockwork Mod recovery file.

    In order to use the root file from the previous step you must flash the clockwork mod recovery image to the phone.

    Save it in an easy location such as the desktop and then extract it to its own folder.

    Step 6 – Flash the Clockword Mod recovery file

    You need to flash the clockwork mod recovery file to the Motorola Moto X and this can be done using the following steps.

    1. Make sure the Motorola Moto X is powered on.
    2. Make sure USB debugging is enabled (see step 2).
    3. Connect the Motorola Moto X to your PC.
    4. Open up command prompt.
    5. Type ‘adb reboot bootloader’ (without quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the Motorola Moto X will reboot and be in FASTBOOT mode.
    6. Type ‘fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery-razri-tryAtouch.img’ (without the quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the recovery file will be flashed to the phone.

    Step 7 – Use Clockwork mod to install SuperSU and root the Motorola Moto X

    Please make sure you have followed all previous directions in the last step.

    With ClockworkMod having been flashed to the phone successfully perform the following steps.

    1. Type ‘fastboot.exe reboot-bootloader’ (without quotes) and press Enter. If done properly the Motorola Moto X will boot in to the Bootloader menu.
    2. Using the Volume up and down buttons to choose and the Power button to select make sure the RECOVERY option is selected. If done properly the phone will reboot in to recovery mode and ClockWork mod that was flashed in the previous step will load.
    3. Choose the ‘Install zip from SDcard’ option.
    4. Browse to the folder on the phone you saved the root file to from step 4 earlier.
    5. Select the root zip file and confirm you wish to flash it.
    6. Once the file has been flashed reboot the Motorola Moto X.

    Once the phone reboots you can verify the phone has been successfully rooted by looking for the SuperSU application which appears after having successfully rooted the Motorola Moto X.
